Born and raised in Jacksonville, Teddy graduated from the University of Florida which he attended on a baseball scholarship. He was part of the 2005 SEC Championship team and national runner-up in the College World Series. There he received a Bachelor of Arts in History while playing for the Gators and earned All-SEC Academic Honor Roll his last three years. After deciding not to pursue a professional baseball career, Teddy obtained his Masters of Science in Sport Management at the University of Florida, graduating in the top 3% of his class. In 2014, he earned his Juris Doctorate from Florida State College of Law. While in law school, Teddy married his wife Sarah. He also clerked for a second circuit judge, worked at the State Attorney’s Office, and worked at the United States Attorney’s Office in Tallahassee. Teddy worked as a prosecutor at the State Attorney’s Office after law school. He tried 20 cases to verdict, including 19 jury trials. He then joined a mid-sized insurance defense firm in 2017 and litigated numerous types of personal injury cases: automobile accidents, trucking accidents, slip and fall, and wrongful death among other personal injury matters.
