Since joining Morgan & Morgan in 2010, Mr. Ducote’s practice became devoted to the field of workers’ compensation. This practice area includes representing injured workers before the Mississippi Workers’Compensation Commission and the United States Department of Labor, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Division. While Mr. Ducote’s practice is not concentrated in workers’ compensation, his diverse experience enables him to consult with clients on a variety of matters. Mr. Ducote believes in the importance of education and views himself not only as a lawyer, but also an educator. In the past, he served as President and de facto legal counsel for the former Heritage School, a non-profit educational institution for children with learning disabilities. He has also served as a faculty member for National Business Institute, providing continuing legal education seminars to both lawyers and paralegals on matters such as mediation, discovery and mass volume document production and review. Mr. Ducote believes that an important element of the practice of law is the education of his clients as to their rights and liabilities and the legal process.
